3 days of exibition ended yesterday.. SPINNOVEX 2007 is done.. so as my Final Year Project.. well.. not that over.. still gotta hand up some work.. yeah.. ha

It all started during the first few days into March 2006.. discussions.. planning.. took about a month.. as with all projects.. it all started off slow..

slowly.. things began to fall into place where the program was designed.. materials for the model was sourced and gathered.. and it began to take shape.. Roads were paved without tar.. markings were drawn without paint.. grasses were growing without soil and water.. poles holding the traffic lights were bent.. wires connected to it.. so it all began to look like a typical road..

finally.. the program was done.. connections were made.. and testing began..

of course.. as with everything.. problems were encountered.. regardless how big or small.. descisions were made and solutions implemented.. everything was done for the good of the project hoping for it to enter the exibition at the beginning of the new year..

interviews and presentations were unavoidable.. doubts and questions were raised.. fortunately.. these were answered and we got through it..

soon.. the day came to move the project to the exibition site.. it was the thursday 2 weeks before... left there for slightly less than a week... 6 days to be precise.. before going back for the interview by the industry panel.. innovative was one of the comment from them.. of course.. we were all pleased with that..

exactly a week later after the move-in.. which was recent thursday.. the exibition was opened to the public.. nice comments were too heard from them.. for the next 2 days.. it was tired but fun..

the closing ceremony yesterday was rather a meaningful event deep inside me.. it marks an end to all the hard work put into the project.. seeing the whole project materalise from all the paper talk is a feeling nothing a third-party can comprehend and easily described with a few words..

as the saying goes.. its not the end result that is important.. its the process of it..

so this are my teammates and my project at the booth...

these are the few other mates that have the project exibited as well.. and of course.. we are good friends and some of them are my ex-classmates ..

the overall project view...

these is what it looks like at road level.. (imagine you are in the car behind)

And finally.. what it looks like beneath the road level.. where all the wiring and components lies...

well.. the event to mark a closure to it..

"Improved Intelligent Traffic Light Controller" and "SPINNOVEX 2007" will be etched in my memory for a long long time to come..

Cya!
