Finally got my blog skin changed.. a new look finally.. haha.. the original skin wasn't like this actually.. the navigation portion had a light pink background with a hot pink dotted border.. i found it quite out of place so i edited till what you see now.. looks much better.. heh..

besides that.. some font colours and stuff were edited and changed.. so ya...

well.. amid much comments.. there is still a major tweaking to make this really me.. haha.. after this tweak.. i could actually remove the credits section.. haha.. but inspiration is still yet to come.. but im trying.. it could probably be done by next post.. or next next post.. or next next next post.. or.... you get the idea.. haha

recently.. i find that people who called us are just plain lazy.. they just dont bother to do some research on the internet before calling us.. let me give you an example..

yesterday there was this lady who called.. it was a problem that is not under our range of work.. but since i know some things about networking.. i helped her.. \

her case was that she was unable to surf internet at home wirelessly and she wanted to check some school's library application feature.. i asked whether she had any encryption code on her network (she: dont know).. brand and model of router (she: dont know).. other computers in her house were affected too (she: only her laptop cant connect)..

for the first 2 questions.. she could have went to the router's brand website and check for any troubleshooting techniques.. or even google on the internet for solutions.. ok.. say she doesnt have internet.. so here comes the 3rd question...

since other computers connecting to the same network is ok. only her's is affected.. why did she even call us? she should have approach the laptop brand's helpdesk! though we might be in the IT helpdesk and this is a IT issue.. it isn't NUS related..

I know that there is always less tech-savy people than me and I'm not looking down on anyone.. its just that i would appreciate people who made the effort to solve their problem by themselves first before calling us.. at least for me.. i think the helpdesk line should be treated as a last resort..

anyway.. cya.
