my 3rd time in Pulau Tioman! haha..

it was a weekend trip over at malaysia mid-month in june.. well.. the first time i went was with my family.. then 2nd time was with my secondary school mates.. the latest one with sheryln and friends..

however.. it was a different resort from the past 2 occasions.. i didnt blog bout the 1st time i went... as i was still too young then and guess blogger didnt really exist i think.. haha.. here's the exprience i went the other time @ Paya Beach Resort.. which was like bout 2 years ago.. ha!

anyway.. we set off on a tour bus to Mersing Jetty from Bukit Timah Plaza..

While waitng for the ferry to dock....

We arrived at Island Reef Resort after bout 1 1/2 hours of serious ass-cramp boat ride.. haha..

Our accomodation..

and the view outside it..

So.. as we opened up the room.. we were greeted by 2 super-single beds which look more like 2 queen-size actually.. haha.. wooden flooring, a pathetic small little TV which is antenna tuned that can only receive one channel.. and a single very cold aircon.. haha. i didnt know why i didnt take any pictures of the entire room but i only focus on the defects that i come across..

A 50 cent size hole in the curtain..

A 2 foot long split in the wooden flooring..

A retro looking toliet..

haha.. compared to Paya Beach Resort.. i would say this not the best accomdation that you can ask for but there is always a give and take for everything.. hahah.. the food sold by the cafes and hawkers is fantastic!!! haha

Ramily Burger!!! Fattening but its super delicious.. hahah.. trust me.. second stall on the left..

Next was the Ice Kachang.. haha.. the ice is shaved without each crystal sticking o each other and the milk sweetness was just right.. haha

Lastly was the pan fried fish.. Super fresh and meaty.. haha.. only avaliable at night though..

yup.. ohh.. the teh tarik there is also very very nice.. haha.. besides the food from the cafes and hawkers.. the daily 3 meals served is has a homecooked feeling to it too..

from what i understand.. the owner is a singaporean.. brought his family there kinda of thing.. so the food served has a very singaporean flavour to it.. haha.. every meal is very enjoyable and sought after for more servings.. heh..

i sound damn glutton.. haha..

anyhow.. sovenirs that can't be brought back for gifts..

besides these.. puffer fish shells are being displayed too..

All these were the recce done for the first day actually.. haha.. then 2nd day was mainly the snokerlling..

didnt have any underwater camera.. so this is the best i could have.. heh..

The last day was packing up and some camwhoring.. haha

and back to singapore after that.. yup..

that concluded the tioman trip..

Depending on your preference over better food and average accomdation.. or average food and better accomdation.. it will determine the resort you choose.. the former would be Island Reef.. the latter would be Paya Beach.. there are other resorts along the coast of tioman.. but i never been to them obviously.. haha..

anyway.. Island Reef and Paya Beach are the 2 more popular choices for singaporeans if im not wrong.. yeah..

CYA!
